A craigslister is offering me the following:

I have an old Magnavox Oddysey II back from the 70's, with countless games.
It has 2 controllers, only one works, but the other looks easily fixable.
I have literally a box full of games. My guess would be 30+.

I know zero about these so what is a ballapark on it? Any special games I should be looking out for?

Thanks

Overall it isn't worth a ton if you could get the games for less than 50 cents each (that may still be high)

Power Lords if IIRC is the most valuable game there is a few 10-20 games, but most are 2-3

Boxes help these games sell better kinda tough for loose

If you could get the whole package for 30-50 you would probably do alright. You could always flip it as a lot here and I bet 101077 would buy it of he is still around

I've sold common O2 games for 1-2$ each loose minimum and at least $2-3 each boxed. If there are that many games you should be able to resell the lot for at least $60. I would really suggest breaking it up so should be able to sell the system alone for $25-$30 min. If it's boxed I'd say $30-$40. It really depends on what games and what the demand is at which I haven't kept up on. And, there aren't any O2 games listed except for 1 on CTCW. But, I know squat about the controllers.

I would keep it and get yourself a copy of Smithereens and the voice module and have some friends over to play one of the all time, under rated classic games in my opinion. It's always a party favorite when I bring it out. There is something so satisfying about catapulting boulders towards your buddy's castle and hearing the whistling soar as the boulder leaves your catapult and then hearing your opponent say to you "missed turkey" when you miss. Classic !

Other good games for the O2 are Pick Axe Pete, K.C. Munchkin, Turtles and Killer Bees.

Does the O2 you have, have detachable controllers or permenantly hooked ones? Also, some of the O2's with detachable controllers only will work with old Maganavox TV's (making them worthless) as they used a special RF adapter that would only fit Mag TV's. It is something you may not notice until you check it out. The O2's with permenantly attached controllers, I believe, will work with all TV's.

Don't suppose any of these are in there?

Atlantis
Cosmic Conflict
Demon Attack
Dynasty
Hockey/Soccer
I've Got Your Number
Pachinko!
Power Lords!
Turtles!

That's all I need to close out the O2.
