Hey all,
It is apparent that our "fee" payment system which is basically an "honor" system is not working - most people are simply not paying or paying many days late which causes an interruption in their account access, which really messes things up. And I will not be able to keep this running and growing if our small fees aren't paid each month. I have created a site that costs very little to use and with this comes a small level of commitment of our sellers to pay our fees. I don't think it's to much to ask.
So starting January of 2010 ChaseTheChuckwagon.com will be run like all other online businesses. That means all members will be required to have a valid credit card on file which will be auto billed each month for fees incurred (if any). The Chuckwagon will utilize a popular, secure merchant-account system. I have held off on doing this as long as possible, believe me. If you are only using the site to buy items on, then you will not need to supply a credit card. Only sellers will be required to have a credit card on file.
I will be notifying you all when you will be able to add a credit card to your profile and as I've said we have a few months to make this switch over.
