Great Heavenly Lord. Whose collection is this?
Ya, know-- what I wouldn't give to go back in time and walk through all the old stores electronic and toy areas and see all these displays fresh for the first time again. You really took all that for granted back then. I find my self looking at today's game stores in a completely differnent light as someday, these will all be gone and transformed as well. Sometimes I just gaze around taking it all in. It's amazing how much I don't remember about the stores I used to shop in back in the 70's and 80's. You have to remember to stop and smell the proverbial roses now and again :)
Great friggin photos !!

Very nice. Wish I owned a place so I could set something like that up (and an arcade room) sadly I do not so my collections are small and tend to get sold...also to fund new stuff to...

My God, it's full of stars!
Rick, do you realize someone swipped your collection photos and replaced with pictures of one of the worlds biggest game shops? :P
I have never, and I mean never, seen so many of those wooded cartridge holders in one place. Outstanding collection.

Just wanted to say I was looking through your pictures again and yep I still basically hate you. :p
How in the world did you get all that stuff. I am particularly interested in the story behind Magicard and Videolife. Videolife is worth what about 6G's on the open market and what there were maybe 20 made and how many are still known to exist 3 or 4?
Your collection makes me want to give up and sell mine off as I know I will never be able to get half of those rare games and I have been dying for a kiosk for years.
So I figure you have to have what one of the top collections of NTSC, who has more than you? I WONDER(Although since he doesn't ever loose an auction he wants as I believe he pees diamonds;)) I would like to see a listing of the top collectors and their collections... I would like to see toymailmans, wonder, cpuwiz, omega, Al, FND... I plan on stopping by sometime and seeing 5th ghost in Pittsburgh, I want to see all his Sears stuff.... ANyway enough...
Like I said before your collections makes me want to puke in a bucket and go to a tea party wearing that same bucket as a hat, while I see if I can kick my own butt.... :D

that's what good friends are for. :p
well 30 years of collecting! over half is from back in the day, bought new.
as to Magicard i got that from my source in NY back in the 80's think i paid 35-40$
and boxed Video life i got from selling william sommerwreck collection that me and Marco bought back in 2002 maybe 2003.and got it for free.
No, there are many in the hands of collectors now, i'm not sure the total... i'll have to check on AA i know it's listed there...
don't give up! just takes a LOT of time (and $$$$$$$) :D
hmmmm... who has more? if you count proto's then wonder is the man, but if you're just counting BOXED NTSC i think he's still missing a lot of some of the less rare games (he started only collecting loose games) but it should not take him too long to get those. as to who's collection i would like to see, wonders once he has his gameroom set up. and john hardie's since he has a lot of other atari stuff not just carts. i have seen toymailmans he has a great set up! i think CPU has most of his still boxed up from moving. but would like to see his game room.
if you do that please put it on DVD! i'll buy 1 :p

Man, what a nice set up. I sure wish I had the room to spread out everything like that. You obviously have a nice sized home.

Ah, very nice. Unfortunately my two garages are the do-it-yourself tarp and metal tube frame variety.
