For example, Priority Mail 1 lb or under used to be $4.90 no matter where it shipped to in the USA. Now it will matter. Farther away means more money - up to $5.55.

Here are new changes:

Will it ever end ? Its like no matter how much they charge
today its never enough come tomorrow

You would think with all the extra revenue that the internet
has generated through Ebay and other on-line selling sites
that the cost would at least be held stable but instead it has
gone up more over the last five years then at any other time.
How can they keep losing more money every year then the
year before ?

It's pretty bad when they just lowered our rate at my regular job to a CBP rate, trying to keep us as a customer with pitney bowes. Now it's going up again, which in turn will mean less business for them. Basically with this rate change, we are at the point where all USA packages @ or above 2# are going Fed Ex. You cannot beat their rates and service. To send a package Fed Ex under or at 2 pounds ranges from about $6.00 to $8.76(for us anyway business account). Not to mention you get tracking, and your item is insured free for the first $100 and a low rate above that. The services don't compare. I'm sure our Fed Ex #'s will exceed the USPS totals in 2010.

Out of 1400+ Fed Ex packages we sent the last half, they did not lose a package. Only 1 or 2 damaged. They also compensated us for express packages not on time.

Out of about 2000 USPS packages we sent this last half, They lost a few, about 20 or so didn't make it. Out of those 20 only about 15 were returned to us. The funny thing is we rarely have a problem with international mail. All our issues are with the domestic services.

The one positive note on the new USPS services/rates is that parcel post can now have a return service added to it, which was not available before.
