I have been getting all my boxes free from USPS.com. You can order lots of different size priority mail boxes and flat rate boxes to use for national and international use. And they deliver them quickly to your door :)
I also use USPS.com's click 'n ship. Makes it easy to print your postage so you can drop your boxes off at the post office or local mail store. You can even schedule free pick up.
If you need to buy boxes I get them from http://www.uline.com. We are lucky to have a Uline distribution / pickup center down the street. I never buy boxes at privately owned mail stores as they make a killing selling overpriced boxes. Uline has great deals on packing tape and bulk boxes.
