It's not the best collection out there (either by rarity of games or whatever OR by picture quality) but hey, it's mine. :P

The only ones I actually went out of my way to get were The Punisher, Fatal Labyrinth, Super Monaco GP, T2 : The Arcade Game and Outrun (which isn't pictured because it doesn't have the case).

The ones that aren't pictured are :

6-Pak with Sonic, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Revenge of Shinobi, Columns and Super Hang-On
Outrun
Outrun 2019
PGA Tour Golf II
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Samurai Shodown
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers
Sonic 2
Sonic 3
Gunstar Heroes
Test Drive II : The Duel
Battletoad Vs Double Dragon
and a Game Genie with some of the original mail in code books

I already have the original Sonic the Hedgehog game (you made me double check actually lol) it's on the bottom row in the picture. Obscured by the glare. :)

I used to have Sonic & Knuckles around somewhere ... I'll be damned if I remember where it is or if I even still have it.

Smash T.V. ... I should've thought of that sooner because I play it from to time on the 360.

Haven't played, to the best of my knowledge, either Battletech or Thunder Fox. So I'm gonna snag the ROMs and check those out.

And Road Rash ... I don't know which Road Rash game it is, but I know it was on the Genesis and I remember getting a kick out of ramping cows that were laying about. :)

Nice collection, all boxed also. I have been going around trying to get all the cheapest Genesis games boxed to build up my collection. What is the F1 racing one towords the bottem left?

That would be Super Monaco GP ... a case of good game/terrible arcade port. Oh, and I also have Virtua Racing ... it isn't in the picture because it was apparently hiding from me.

Since some of them, I guess, are kinda hard to spot or have glare on them I'm just going to type them all out.

They aren't in the same order as the picture, I just have them all piled up on my bed, reaching over, grabbing one and typing it. :)

The ones with an asterisk in front of it are ones that have the manuals, because unfortunately I have the boxes for some but no manuals. :P

*Robocop Vs Terminator
*Lotus II (AWESOME game by the way)
*World Series Baseball
*The Punisher (The manual, unfortunately, doesn't have the cover. But I DO have that temporary Punisher skull tattoo with it. :P)
*Fatal Labyrinth
*Pit Fighter (damn game doesn't work though. Got it off of eBay and didn't feel like going through all the hassle of sending the thing back. Told the guy it was alright, just gonna get another cartridge one of these days.)
*Galaxy Force II
*Tiny Toon Adventures : Acme All Stars
*Altered Beast
*TaleSpin
*World of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck
*Alien 3
Outlander
Madden '94 (and the case doesn't close anymore, and it's busted up in the top left. But meh, I don't play it so I don't care heh)
Marble Madness
NBA Jam
*NBA Jam : Tournament Edition
*Sonic Spinball
Super Street Fighter II
Clue
*Super Monaco GP
*Tecmo Super NBA Basketball
Quackshot
Mortal Kombat
*Mortal Kombat (yes, I do have two copies of the game heh)
*Mortal Kombat II
*Mortal Kombat III
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (not for resale version)
*Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Virtua Racing
*Dungeons and Dragons : Warriors of the Eternal Sky
*Deadly Moves
*T2 : The Arcade Game
NCAA Football
*Ecco : Tides of Time
*PGA European Tour
*After Burner II
Dragon's Fury (hey, it may be video game pinball, but I love it anyway because it has multiple stages and doesn't try to be a realistic pinball so much as it's a video game pinball with enemies marching around on screen and dragons and other monsters to kill)
*Sonic the Hedgehog (not for resale version)
*Street Fighter II : Special Champion Edition
*Spider-Man and X-Men : Arcade's Revenge
*F22 Interceptor : Advanced Tactical Fighter
Zero Tolerance (http://wastedseconds.com/?p=514) This particular one is linked to the article/review of it on my site because this, and it's unfinished sequel was made public domain and while back and is actually a pretty damn good game.
Greendog : The Beached Super Dude!
Virtua Fighter 2
Decap Attack
*Double Dribble : The Playoff Edition
Chi Chi's Pro Challenge Golf
Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf
*Hard Drivin'
Home Alone
*Techno Clash
*Twin Cobra : Desert Attack Helicopter
*NBA Live '97
*NBA Hangtime

:GEN: Oh, it was either Road Rash II or III that had the cows added.

NBA Hang Time is the absolute best Genesis game in the NBA Jam/Hang Time series as it adds in customizable characters with a password save feature for them. And in all actuallity It is the best home console version of Hang Time. The SNES version had hideous slow down issues and the N64 version has poor controls and a hideous soundtrack.

As far as the Genesis goes, I prefer NBA Jam : Tournament Edition. Purely because I've gotten used to playing the PC version of NBA Hangtime, which is pretty much arcade perfect. I played the Genesis version only recently (I saw the game, bought it, came home and snagged the ROM so I wouldn't have to go through all the hassle of hooking up my Genesis) and after playing the PC version, the Genesis just doesn't hold up graphically. All I really saw was a washed out mess for graphics, shitty animation, bad sound and even worse music.

That being said, the Genesis version of the game as far as the cartridge based home consoles IS the single best port of the game, if nothing else than for the playability. Yeah, it looks like shit and sounds like shit but DAMN it's still fun. Of course, I haven't played it on the Playstation, so I don't know about that one.

But for me, the PC version is hands down the BEST port of the game.

Yeah I though it was Super Monaco GP, that was my favorite Genesis game back when. Out of the whole list theres really only a few I have actualy played. Although I have heard of most.

I didn't even HAVE a Genesis "back in the day" ... started off on a hideous looking wood grain and silver Pong machine when I was about 2 or 3 that my parents had. Then when I was about 6 (which would've been about 1987) we got an Atari 2600 at a yard sale with a FUCKTON of games. My mom said they just sold off the entire thing because they had an NES and didn't need the Atari anymore.

Then, as far as home consoles go I've always been about a generation behind until the Xbox 360. Back in the 16 bit era I was still playing Nintendo, but I was also big into PC gaming because PC games (shareware, freeware, etc etc) were a shitton easier to get than the console games. Which in my case were limited to what I could find at yard sales. The first full version game I EVER bought was Quake II actually.

But even though during that NES time I didn't have any money for new games, I still got them thanks to those yard sales. lol I always hear "when I was a kid I only got 1 or 2 games a year, so I played the hell out of those whether they were good or not" ... wasn't me. Almost every weekend I'd go yard saling with my mom and come home with at LEAST one game.

I never really got HEAVILY into playing Genesis games until about ... 1996 when I snagged my first emulator. Then I started remembering all these older games and snagged me a Genesis off of one of my friends. Before then really the only games I'd played off that system were, like, Sonic, NBA Jam, Mortal Kombat and various SNK fighting games.

And I've been in that emulation kick ever since. I'll snag a rom for, say, a Genesis emulator I've never heard of, and if I like it I go hunting it down. Even if I rarely ever play it on the system itself ... I like to have that option. :)

Yup yup im the same way I was, but then I found that if I collect games I never play the system (Even the good ones I used to jam all day).

Bah, in my opinion, emulation covers one's bases. Yes, I want to play this stuff on the actual hardware. Sometimes that isn't an option.

I have a few Sega CD games ... I don't have a Sega CD though ... and they're a bit out of my price range at the moment because I'm dirt poor.

So when I want to play one of my Sega CD games? I pull up an emulator.

And a Genesis emulator I use out of pure convenience because I honestly don't even know WHERE my Genesis is at the moment, and even if I did I'd have to hook the thing up and find somewhere to plug it in ... which is a hassle. I have to unplug my 360 just to play my PS2 or Wii because I'm just out of plugins.

I've got 3 or 4 Nintendo systems ... and a Retro Duo ... the Nintendo systems fall into the category of sometimes it's a SONOFABITCH to get those games working in that thing. I'm a heavy smoker, I don't have enough air to blow into some of those cartridges. :P I've tried cleaning them, and it helps a little ... but I still have to fight with them.

So I fire up an NES emulator. :P

I still try my hardest to have the original hardware for what games I play, because sometimes I get into that kick where I wanna have, say, a Genesis controller in my hands to play The Punisher or an NES Advantage in my hands to play TMNT 2 : The Arcade Game. Had my NES over at a friend's house one night drinking and playing Rad Racer for about 2 or 3 hours. Playing that game drunk is a trip. :D

I believe it's Dungeons and Dragons: Warriors of the Eternal Sun unless there was another version it. I lent the game out years and never got it back but I still have the strategy guide for it. One of best RPG's I've played.

Games I have:
Last Battle
Thunder Force 2
Ghouls n Ghost
Ground Zero Texas
Final Fight CD (amazing port)
