Forum Lower Toolbar Very Very Slow loading

Am I the only member having to wait for the Lower Tool Bar to load each and evertime
I move to a new page on the Forums now. Its very slow and I cant scrowl, open or do anything
until it loads each and every time I move to a new page. As an example I have had to wait
what seems like forever to just make this post, had to wait for the forum page, then the
Improvments thread, then the Post new thread each time it took probably two minutes for
each to load the Lower ToolBar

I am just to impatient to wait this long to read or respond :(

Oh its only on this site I am having problems waiting all other non game gavel sites load
just fine ?

Hey Dennis,

Sorry about this. Have you had the problem with the forums loading since the lower tool bar was put into place? If its a problem I will disable it. But confirm with me when it happened. Thanks :)

Thanks for the quick reply, Yes its only been since the new tool bar was added.
I think it has something to do with my browser (FireFox) as it works fine when using
my Laptop with IE. Lets see if its only me thats having the trouble before you turn it off
as I have started to use my laptop more and more and really only got put off tonight when
going back to my desktop ( I use both when listing)

May just be an isolated issue with me and my old Desktop combined with firefox, lets see
if anyone else has the problem

I am using both FireFox and IE and it has no affect on either.

As soon as I saw the toolbar I blocked it via adblock plus (I just realized I never updated my exception from the old sitename (chasethechuckwagon.com)... :o... done :)).
I found it distracting and unneeded. I didn't give it enough time to see if it slowed anything down. :D
Assuming you're using that addon, you can block it by:

Go into Adblock Plus Preferences.
Click "Add filter..." button.
Enter "*.wibiya.com" (without quotes) into the field.
Click "OK".

This also breaks the wibiya.com home page, but if you're not using the toolbar, you'll never go to their homepage.

EDIT:
The "embarrassment smiley looks more smug than embarrassed...
Also... changing my CTCW exception caused the toolbar to show up again... :/

Don't do it on two people's account...
I don't like change in general and "flashy" things specifically (you know those navigation menus that automatically drop down? those things piss me off to no end :ROFL).
I was just going to come in here to post different ways to block the bar, since Adblock won't work with gamegavel.com whitelisted, but this works too I guess.

I have to admit it was slowing me down a bit too, but I figured if you wanted it and it worked for others then I could deal. I'm not really one of those people to complain about minor things, but I guess you can count me in the remove category. Or since I see it's already removed, to keep it that way. heh
