The first movie I remember watching was the Pirates of Penzance with Kevin Kline. I remember being 3 or 4 watching it getting a kick out the cops. :)
Not THIS scene in specific, just the entire movie. I just added it to Netflix to see it again for the first time in probably 20 years. :P

A commercial of all things. My town used to have a drive in theater nearby (in Oakland City), and my parents took me there. I don't remember a damn thing about the movie, but I can vividly remember the advertisement for Coca-Cola.
Thats actually my earliest memory, period as well. My parents claim they only took me to the drive in theater once, when I was 3 or 4. The rest of the time we went to the nicer theater in Princeton. No wonder why the drive-in shut down, it was expensive and dingy.

I think the first movies I remember seeing were Rocky (1976), Star Wars (1977) and a Horror movie called Spawn of Slithis (1978) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078277/
In 1981 my parents took me to the Park 4 Theaters (no longer there unfortunately) in Ralston, Nebraska to see So Fine - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083099/
It was a stupid movie, even for way back then but I remember thinking it was cool my parents took me to a pretty risque movie.

I've only ever seen two movies at a drive in theater ... Star Trek 4 (or whichever one it was with the whales) when I was a kid ... and Shaft with Samuel L. Jackson with my then girlfriend ... didn't actually SEE that version of Shaft until a couple of years later though.

Mine is Dumbo in the Cinema with my Mum. Not the first time around obviously as it was a 1941 film.
It was before she died a few years later too as that would have caused problems.

Mine were Star Wars and the original Star Trek movie... remember them both vividly despite being pretty young (around 8 for Star Wars). I remember standing impatiently in the line to get in for Star Wars, buying a souvenir brochure in the lobby (which I still have!), and the model store my mum took me to after seeing Star Trek too, though I don't remember what we bought. Happy days!

I have distant memories of a few films at the cinema in my home town including Superman and Water Babies (1978) so i would of been 7 years old but....i remember seeing Jaws with my mother and she does often mention it today which i still find unbelievable as i would of been just 4!. I understand at the time of its original release it was a PG certificate, her memory is the head coming out the hole in the boat and we both jumped with fright at the same time (and so did everybody else in the cinema) lol

I grew up in New York City in the late 80's/early 90's but I do remember seeing the movie Zapped in New Rochdale Ny, and the part I'll never forget is when Scott Baio is levitating I think it was Heather Thomas. I think the reason I remember this is because that same night, my older brother slammed the door on my fingers of our dad's '78 Chevette.
