At first I thought it was an article on The Onion, but apparently it is real. You'll never guess the spectacular way in which he did it.

I couldn't help but chuckle a little. I feel horrible for it, but ... wow. hahaha

I guess the new Segway ambassador is Steve Wozniak now?

I can just see him careening off the cliff with the music from Benny Hill in the background.

Dean Kamen (a real genius) is actually the inventor of the Segway. This guy just bought the company from Kamen's company. Sad way to die, but you have to admire the fact that he actually used the products he sold. It's a shame though he didn't have money left over for a closed course test track...

For a second there I was afraid it was Dean Kamen that died. Do you all remember the hype surrounding the Segway when it was introduced? I'd love to try one for fun but would feel like a lazy idiot to actually own one. I'd rather ride my bike.

It's a lot of fun. I've ridden them twice when on two different vacations. The off-road ones are especially fun. The highlight was tooling around a beach in North Carolina. It's actually mildly fatiguing until you get used to it, and does require a bit of training.
