I'm having an Evil Dead marathon this weekend. Have you seen the trilogy? If you haven't then I suggest that you watch it right away. If you thought that Tarantino had bloody scenes in his films then you haven't seen this series. Starring Bruce Campbell directed by the great Sam Raimi. Classic horror comedy. Beats the hell out of that Scary Movie crap. My favorite part? The stop motion animation at the end of course.

The series is sheer gold.
Great fun and a little scare.
AWSOME
Plus Bruce Cambel has some of the bst one liners in the bussiness.

I saw it years ago, but haven't been back to see it since. First movie is a classic, second one almost felt like a remake IMO, and the third just didn't seem like it was part of the same series (although it was really good). Might have to grab them off of Netflix after I finish watching all the Planet of the Apes movies in preparation for the new movie.

It has probably been close to ten years since I've watched the series. I really liked them, I'm just not one for rewatching things I guess. Plus I have to be in the right mood for the gore in the earlier parts of the series...

The gore? What the hell do you watch? Faces of Death? :P The gore in those movies ... it's so ridiculously over the top my 9 year old laughs at it in Army of Darkness. lol

And the gore isn't that much different in the earlier movies, it's just over the top and comic bookish.

You do realize that Army of Darkness takes place immediately following the 2nd one ... right?

I just love how the fake blood gushes out of the severed limbs and these films are full of severed limbs. It is very over the top like Dhalamar said which makes it funny instead of cringe worthy. Ash: Well Hello Mr. Fancy Pants.
