I found this cheap little piece of tat in my local Chinese dollar store and decided to review it and make an homage to the great Ashens from youtube. If you don't know who Ashens is then shame on you. He makes very funny vids of cheap Chinese knockoff products. He often reviews Pop Stations which are little LCD games that are often modeled after real products like the PSP.

These go for about 7 U.S. dollars here in Korea. I'm not sure where one might find it elsewhere but if you really want one I would suggest looking around for one at a dollar or pound shoppe near you! I just love the way the British spell shop with an extra "P" and silent "E"
For those with embedded video problems: FAKE PSP Popstation Angry Birds. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S447NV4iqU)

My wife says that The green lettering says "Angry Birds" and the red lettering says roughly "The best selling game all over the world, now grand premiere".
Looks like a future classic :)
I must say I didn't expect a LCD version of Angry Birds.

Thanks eldphm for the translation! Angry birds is very very popular here in S. Korea. You can buy knock off plush angry birds all over Seoul. All of my students love the game so I guess this product will probably sell very well in Korea. It is strange to see the Chinese make an Angry Birds Popstation that really isn't all that bad. If you have seen Ashen's videos you know that the games are usually really bad. The game is quite playable but of course once you have played the real angry birds this game will surely disappoint and break the hearts of all kids that get one.

Brings back memories, starting up Dragons Lair on the C64 after seeing the arcade machine was one of the things that prepared me to handle many future dissapointments in life.
I have come to enjoy crappy stuff as an artform. I rekon that if you have a mst3k view of the world around you, life gets much more enjoyable.

Nice one indie, I like these type of vids! The game is far more elaborate than I would have guessed, judging on the quality of the standard popstations, which are mostly the same recycled games with new names (as you undoubtably know :) ).
If you find more electronic tat, and feel like making a video, I'm sure to watch it!
The game itself could be worse. Seems like any one of those number of LCD-based "ports" we see around. I don't know what the state of that industry is nowadays but that particular port could be a a lot worse!

Thanks a lot guys for watching the video and commenting. Yes I was surprised that the game didn't suck that badly it's quite playable and if you compare it with other pop stations it's miles ahead of the pack. If I find anymore interesting Chinese tat I'll be sure and make a video of it. If you are bored check out my new little website where I have collected and organized all of the silly projects that I'm currently working on. The link is in my signature. :) I plan on doing more videos like this in the future. Mostly I will search out and find interesting Chinese pirate carts/knockoffs and give them a nice review on my new website as well as post them here on the forums where I spend most of my time. :)

Well the real Ashens got around to reviewing this one. He also reviews the Plants vs Zombies popstation cartridge which mine sadly didn't come with. So for your viewing pleasure the real DR. Ashens reviews the Angry birds popstation!
