I had no idea SotN was made into an LCD game--that's truly awesome.

It's new in the package, and this time the packaging is in good shape. When I get time, I have some during-the-week finds that need homes, too, so I'll be listing (again, given time) them.
I'll also be hitting up Game Crazy and Gamestop for some really cool (but not really valuable) game company branded boxes! Those things are neat unto themselves. Best Electronics uses Atari branded tape and baggies, which are really neat little items. I love having the chance to order from them again.

Not a bad haul today at ALL. Found a Sega Master System w/two controllers, phaser gun, power supply and two games for $20, works great. Pics soon.
NES Destination EarthStar and Yo! Noid! game from Domino's Pizza!!
PC, Pitfall The Mayan Adventure for sale with an IBM pc pack-in game;
Jakk's 2600 joystick tv game
Burger King Star Wars toys (not the bobble heads) Destroyer Droid, Princess Leia, red Jedi fighter, Jabba the Hutt, Obi Wan Kenobi, Artoo, mace Windu,
Luke in black suit
Fox Sports Baseball handheld electronic game, linkable which is neat, new in the package.
After all this time, get some scores. Most of this will end up here, I got a few of them specifically for here that I haven't seen before, but the Master System is staying with me, those are extremely hard to come by in this neck of the woods.

Cool deal! Does the Phazer work? If so that was quite a score!
Yo! Noid is awesome.

The phazer works great. A little beat up, but it's probably been travelling to flea markets for a few months. I'm happy about it!
Yo! Noid! ought to be re-released. I used to work for Domino's, and the Noid was the best marketing thing for them, ever. I tried to talk them into a deal with Atari/Infogrames, but it fell through and I was out of the look to really see why.

Not being able to test it makes it ehh but over all I say depending on the games not too shabby. Is it for your personal collection? I'm living vicariously through all of your finds/ everyone on here. ;)

Yes, some of this is for personal. Most of it, really. The Genesis games were for a trade with a fellow atariager, though. The rest was dumb luck. Must go back to that other flea market next week.
I'm keeping the Sonic Spin Ball, twist may arm if you must, I'll never let that go :SONRUN:
Sega Spin Ball (http://picasaweb.google.com/nathan.dkassandra4/UntitledAlbum#5261707239120180482)
I'm getting to the point that I have to move some things, though. Either I move stuff to the store or I put up the shed. I prefer taking it to the store. The shed's a pain in the neck.
Atari 2600 came with the JoyBoard controller.

I should have looked it up, I found what about it just a little while ago. Thanks for posting, I bet the controller is hard to find. I've never even heard of it before now.

I finally am getting a chance to update from this weekend-- busy!!
Got a pretty swell score this weekend across two different flea markets. From least to best:
2600 loose carts:
Grand Prix
Sea Quest
Firefighter
Space Invaders
q*bert red label x2
Centipede
Football
yar's Revenge
Star Raiders
Trick Shot
**mystery cart** will not boot :(
7800 loose carts:
Karateka
Centipede
Dig Dug
Frogs'n'Flies
Choplifter
2600 Vader, totally hosed. Looks like it was left outside for years. Nothing works on it, nearly rusted out (metal parts, at least). Has paddles, power supply.
SNES, Darius Twin
Genesis, Blades of Vengeance
broken Sega CD Model 1 (working to fix it, troubleshot the heck out of it already) w/working model 2 Genesis, two 3-button controllrs, broken power supply, came with SATURN av cables(woohoo! needed that), two six button controllers
Mario rubber ball, Ronald McDonald plush doll from 1984 (still has tag, neat), 1989 Hasbro electric race car. Pics to come.
The coolest thing I found was a pair of Odyssey2 controllers modded for use on the 2600 and they work great! I knew it could be done, but never thought to really do anything like that.
The SegaCD is not working yet. I took it apart and cleaned the boards where it connects, still nothing. Seems to be a power problem. I tried two different known good power supplies, got no indication it wanted to wake up.
I found out that there is a fuse of sorts, a 0-ohm resistor that serves as a fuse. I didn't look at it the other day when I had it open, but will look again. I can test it for continuity next time I open her up tomorrow.
It's broken, but it's a project I can get into. The thing looks sharp, not a scratch on it. Like I said, I troubleshot the heck out of it and cleaned and dusted everything.
In the process of testing I discovered my Model 1 Genesis is region-free, and I never knew it! (no licensed by screen when it boots up)
Nathan
:GEN:
/edit If anyone has a Model 1 Genesis power supply they plan on listing, I'm now looking for a spare. I'll bid.

The broken Model 1 CD is FIXED!! It had a bad power supply and a blown fuse-- can anyone say surge protector? Previous owner couldn't. Anyway, after racking my brains and google for a "zero-ohm resistor" I finally asked somebody, and they set me right. A zero-ohm resistor is a WIRE. One of those items liek a bolt stretcher or box of grid squares. My new nickname with my tech buddies >sigh<.
But it's fixed, looks like a fix, and works great! PIC (http://picasaweb.google.com/nathan.dkassandra4/UntitledAlbum#5265715433967300514)
Sorry no other pictures, but that repair literally consumed my thoughts! I can never turn down a new type of fix that I hadn't tried yet.

Now that you fixed that model 1 sega cd are you keeping it?
nathanallan
11-08-2008, 03:15 PM
Oh yeah, this is the only one I have. When I get another I'll test and move it along, but this one's a keeper. My <ahem> collection is only just now getting to a decent size. A big part of it is computer related, not game console related, but that part's getting bigger. Then you have the dedicated tgaming machines, which is a draw between the two.

Nathan
Are you good at fixing systems?
nathanallan
11-09-2008, 03:43 PM
I can fix a little bit, so fat I've changed fuses and cd-reader parts. Cart slots and things that require very little soldering. I would be game for, say, changing out a broken controller port on a 2600 or similar system.
Do you have something needing repair? If I am not up to it, I know people that may be.

Not yet I can do the basics as well like controller ports etc, just networking so if I come across something worth fixing I know who to talk to :)
nathanallan
11-09-2008, 03:55 PM
Okay, sure, send people over that need that kind of thing done. I have friends that are local anc I also send things off to get fixed by atariagers.
In real life, I fix computers and servers, including networking, so if there's any of that, I'm available.

Small haul today consisted of a complete Genesis 2 from China with two 3-button controllers, RF and power supply, a couple of Star Wars bobble heads (Amidala and Asuka), a box of radio/celphone stuff, and a pair of Episode 1 flip phones fo rthe house. The person thought they were wired walie talkies. I think I shelled out a total of $15 for all of it. I only went to one market today, so it wasn't bad.

I updated the other thread but here's a small youtube video of the X2 tabletop game in action! I'm thinking mod it out, bright LEDs, new sound chip and joystick. LINK (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSIXj_htT1U) to video. It's noisy and fun, and really does grate the nerves after only a short time.
I'll be watching your auctions, pats, cause I will always be needing more Genesis stuff :)
