So, you know about the ThanksGiveAway right? Well, unfortunately, not everyone does! -tears-

So, we're extending the contest a bit! We'll be giving out Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit on Friday, and Medal Of Honor on Monday, November 29th. Contests rules still apply and are they same, but we've added a new rule, so here's a run down of everything, just in case you forgot;

- You must be following @GameGavel and @GamersGate on Twitter to be eligible to win on either Friday or Monday. Yes, you have to make a Twitter Account. Don't worry, Twitter is actually really nice.
- You've got to retweet that are summeries of the contest when we post them. If you've already retweeted, you don't really need to retweet again, but it wouldn't hurt to do so. Besides, it would help the next rule belo;
- (NEW!!!!) We've got to get 100 new followers before we can give any of the games out. So that means 100 before Friday, or 750 followers of @GameGavel! You can do it, we believe in you!
- All those who participated before hand, you're sill in the running! Don't stop retweeting though!

And that's all she wrote folks, so get to following and retweeting! Remember, we've got to reach 750 followers on Friday before we give out Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit! Tell your friends, tell your family, and hop to it yall!

My Photoshop Skills at work!

You know, Thanksgiving is next week, and then starts the Holiday Shopping Season. We know you might be going out and buying things for friends and family, but with all the great deals and what not, it's kinda tempting to buy something for yourself...and then you realize you're on a budget and can't get that sweet game that's eying you because you gotta buy a stainless steel toaster for your boss.

No worries, GameGave and GamersGate have got you covered with our first (hopefully) annual ThanksGiveAway! We've got two new high profile games to give away this Turkey Week, and it's really easy to win one of them; just follow us Twitter @GameGavel and our sponsors @GamersGate, and retweet this tweet right here all next week to have your chance at randomly winning either Medal Of Honor or Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit for the PC, courtesy of GamersGate!

We'll be giving away the first game on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, and the winner on that day get's first dibs, so get to following and retweeting. And make sure you stay with us at GameGavel for all of your game related news, reviews, and articles!

Feels good to be a PC Gamer. Good and Cheap.

Not only is Steam having sales, but our own sponsors, GamersGate, are making some deals as well. The deals are mostly based on strategy based games, so those who like RTSs and RPGs will be really happy.

You can pick up games like Men Of War for 75% off, making it effectively $3.73. You can also pick up Heroes Of Might and Magic V, both the Gold and Silver versions, for 50% off.

Other deals include a permanent price drop in Command And Conquer 4, Command And Conquer 3, and Battlefield Bad Company 2. Plus a bunch of other games like EVE Online, Sam And Max, and Tom Clancy's End War. With all the great deals, who says PC gaming is expensive?

...besides the graphics cards...

Good God Valve, can you give a guy a break?

Valve must be looking for some way to make quick money fast, because a lot of stuff is discounted this weekend. I don't know why, and I don't know how, but if you need some new games, this weekend might be your best bet.

First off, we've got the Frontiers Pack Free Weekend. You can play bother Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West and Shattered Horizion free this weekend and pick them up for $7.99 and $9.99 respectively, or $12.49 together. Next is Grand Theft Auto Classics, which includes GTA through GTA: San Andreas for $7.49. And finally, there's Supreme Commander II for $5.10.

So yeah, combined with BIT.TRIP BEAT being 10% off, and the Poker Night pre-order being 10% off, get ready to have no lunch money all next week. What's everybody picking up?
Courtesy of Playstation Blog

Hulu Plus allows for a more robust streaming experience than your standard Hulu fare; HD streaming, current TV shows and seasons, more seasons of your favorite shows, and streaming to multiple devices, including your iDevices, and now, your PS3.

SCEA is now saying that Hulu Plus, previously available for Playstation Plus only, will soon be available for the rest of us in the US. For 10 bucks a month, users will be able to watch 720p streams of their favorite TV shows and movies in the ever expanding Hulu library.

So, combined with Netflix, 20-22 bucks will almost set you away from having to pay a cable bill. Just need that IPTV for Live Sports, and I'm set. How about you? Going to jump on Hulu Plus?

Dynasty Warriors is a game I've played maybe once, at Gamestop, on a PSP that's on display. I like the concept and all; a bunch of weak enemies and you being a complete and total badass, kill as many unlucky simpletons as possible. Simple stuff, but I just never sat down and decided to play it myself.

That might change with Dynasty Warriors Online. The hack and slash action based MMO created by Aeria Games goes into it's open beta phase for the North American and European territories today, and brings some new improvements, such as new player ranks, new missions, and original Japanese Voice Acting.

You need an Aeria Games account, free at their website. And if you already have an account, you can jump on and download the open beta here. If you do, tell us what you think of it!

Poker Night has me so excited. It's got 3 of my favorite video game characters, and 1 of my favorite web comic characters in one place. And it has poker. I remember poker; I used to play for Cheetos, Doritos, Mountain Dew, and dollar bills. Summer school was the best type of school.

Anyways, it's time for all those playing TF2 to go ahead and slap down the 5 bucks to pre-order Poker Night at the Inventory. Pre-ordering the game will net you a neat-o poker visor that the Heavy can wear. When the games releases this November, if you manage to beat one of the 4 characters in the game, you'll score some items you can use in Team Fortress 2, including The Lugermorph and the Heavy's first minigun, The Iron Curtain, as seen above.

Right now, pre-orders are 10% off, so act now, and get 50 cents off. While there's no solid release date, Poker Night at the Inventory is scheduled for a release this month.

Second Silent Hill film to be in 3D

Image: http://i52.tinypic.com/xfc4ro.jpg

Ahhh, Silent Hill. You used to scare the crap out of me. Now only Silent Hill 2 only scares the crap out...

Ahhh, Silent Hill. You used to scare the crap out of me. Now only Silent Hill 2 only scares the crap out of me, while the others just either manage to make me laugh or frustrate me to no end. Both could be said for the Silent Hill movie as well, with an added bonus of making me utter "amazing" when I saw Pyramid Head for the first time.

So, those who are looking forward to the second Silent Hill film will be glad (or not) to know a few things. First off, the film will be titled Silent Hill: Revelations 3D, which of course means the film will be filmed in 3D. Micheal J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) will be writing and directing the film, and the lead character will be Heather Mason, which means that the film will probably stick closer to the story of Silent Hill 3. So yeah, Silent Hill 2 is safe...for now.

I didn't really enjoy the story of the first Silent Hill movie, but the overall presentation was pretty close to the games themselves. Maybe with a new director and writer, we can get an enjoyable, and more importantly, scarier movie this time. And if not, we've always got Silent Hill 8 to hold out for!

Steam is at it again with the crazy sales, and this time, it's Trine.

I liked Trine, it's was a beautiful, excellent physics based platformer with a lot charm in it's presentation. But for a lot of you, especially during these hard economic times, new game purchases come few and far between. Steam eases the pain a little this week, buy taking 75% off of Trine this week, making the asking price a cool 5 bucks. At that price, I can't recommend the game enough.

Also on sale is the Theatre of War Collection, which is also 75% off this week only. Never played Theatre of War, but 4 games for 11 bucks is a damn good deal. So who's buying what?

Rejoice!

Flash, Adobe's coding structure that takes up nearly 3/4s of the internet, is finally coming to the iDevices...sorta. Previously, Apple was adamant on keeping Flash away from their hardware, stating that it doesn't work for mobile devices and would suck up way to much battery power.

Skyfire finds away around Apple's restriction. Instead of trying to display Flash on the phone itself, Skyfire downloads whatever you're trying to view that requires Flash, transposes into a accepted format (like HTML5), and then spits it back out to your phone. The app currently only works with Flash encoded video (no mobile Newgrounds D: ), and video doesn't include Hulu, but in any case, it's a start.

Skyfire will cost iDevice users $2.99 on the App Store on Thursday, and is already available on the Android Marketplace for Android phones. Who's excited to get rid of Blue Lego's?

I'll admit, I haven't been keeping up much with the Assassin's Creed franchise. I totally missed out on the showing of Brotherhood at E3, and the announcement and commencement of the beta totally flew over my head. I don't even know what Brotherhood is all about, but slap "free" on something and it get's me interested.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood will be receiving free and exclusive to the PS3 DLC. Coined "Copernicus Conspiracy", the DLC follows the astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus as he'll be giving extra assignments to Ezio, which tie into the heliocentric philosophy, which basically states that the earth wasn't the center of the universe.

The DLC will drop on November 16, 2010, the same day Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood will drop in stores. Any PS3 owners excited for this?

Team Meat Thinking about a retail Super Meat Boy release for the Wii

It's seems like Team Meat is having some problems meeting Nintendo's regulations on WiiWare releases. The developers can't seem to compress Super Meat Boy enough to meet the 50mb max limit Nintendo has on WiiWare titles, without cutting stuff out, and they are hell bent on not doing that.

So instead, Team Meat wants to know what you would think on a retail release. Team Meat asked "if we decided to try to find a publisher & do a boxed version for $20 (with extras) but come out later on the wii, would you hold out?" It would cost 5 dollars more, but you are getting a physical copy, complete with possibly radical box art and game manuals, and they did say there would be in-game extras.

So, are you willing to buy a retail copy of Super Meat Boy? Holding out for the PC release? Already got it on XBL? Let Team Meat know over on their Twitter!

It's that time of year again, and video game companies know it. Microsoft is already getting it's start on the season of selling things, announcing it's Xbox 360 Holiday Bundle.

The bundle will feature one of those new swanky Slim Xbox 360s with a 250GB hard drive, a copy of Forza 3, and a download ticket for Alan Wake. This will be sold in conjunction with the Kinect Bundles and the regular Slim 360 SKU.

At only $299, I'd say that's a damn good deal. If you want a 360 but don't want to deal with Kinect, you should jump on this bundle when it hits retailers in the coming week.

It's like an Early as Hell Christmas Gift for Xbox Live users.

Microsoft sent out a notice to all those who where in the Beta Program this year that the new Fall Dashboard Update will go public. Updates include Kinect related things, ESPN3, new Avatars, and better voice chat, among other things I'm sure will make you Xbox Live owners happy campers.

So the update goes live tomorrow. Expect long download times as everyone who pre-ordered Kinect (ala, a lot of people) will be clamoring to download this update at the same time.

I wish we had stuff like this over on PSN....
