Well, you're both welcome over here. I don't know what happened at MW.

I was on the previous night then checked the next morning and they were gone.

I heard rumblings of Shane becoming a Grandfather which I guess sparked some unsavoury comments.

The "Profanity" thread was the end but not the catalyst as I believe it was a few months in the making, if not longer and mostly based on the shift of the sites focus and perceptible favoritism --'the clique'.

I'm pretty sure I wasn't alone in that belief and the Monroeafiasco was the straw that broke it for me personally.

Myself and many others have been a big supporter of his; both with our time AND our money and for that he alludes that we are trolls and drama queens (despite posting 'beg-a-thons' [his burglary/cd sales] and family drama [his daughter]) gets mad and takes his ball and goes home so to speak.

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't personally hate him or anything, I just think he got to the point where he thought he really was a 'star' and it gave him the ego to dismiss his base...

Well, now all his base are belong to him.

Turbo, Darksol, cool to see you guys over here, we have had the show up and running for a year and a half now and are wrapping up CGE with tons of great interviews and media. Glad to have you both.

I need to lay down the law a bit on a few issues, and it does not apply to most of the people that might come over here form other forums but it needs to be said for the few that it does apply to so that we can prevent a repeat of things like

and there are a few people that piddled in our post toasties too many times and are not welcome in the Retro Gaming Roundup forums.

GameGavel is Mike (Socal's) company and he runs it as he sees fit, what and who he chooses to allow in the Game Gavel area is his business. The Retro Gaming Roundup show forums are an extension of the show, and as such people who were damaging in other forums will not be welcome there. If you post in the show forums and find that everything you post is deleted take the hint and move along.

Agreed, most but not all are welcome. If however you have come to talk retro and games let's have at it.

I wouldn't expect him to show up here anytime soon as it's not really his bag (straight modern gamer to be precise).

Hey, I've listen to every show in their entirety although to be fair some had to be listened to several times as I usually put them on when I'm going to sleep.

Er... not to say they put me to sleep! lol

I totally understand what you're saying, agree, and hope that you don't believe I sabotaged his forums in anyway. I most certainly didn't.

As I said, I've been there forever and share much camaraderie with Shane but it seemed we were sharing less and less as a forum and more and more like a group chat room.

Well, hopefully I'll be fine and the italicized ending of Scott's post above doesn't affect me as I have no intention of rehashing or starting forum war BS.

Good to know, I thought you might have been being passive aggressive when you quoted me unlike my blatant hijacking of Darksol's intro!

Speaking of whom, we were all in chat trying to get you to kick a PS3 box just for... ah... kicks!
