Happy Birthday UK Mike. I posted on the "other" forum, but forgot you don't read that one as much anymore.

Happy B-day UK! 41 years young and still kicking people off your lawn. Did you get any games for the special occasion?

"My good man, don't be ignorant of yourself; don't fall into the common error. For many are in such a hurry to pry into other people's business that they never turn to examining themselves. Don't refuse to face this duty then; make more serious effort to pay attention to yourself, and don't neglect public affairs if you have the ability to improve them. If they go well, not only the citizens, but your friends and you yourself will benefit at least as much as they will."

.... and Flare bumps an old thread ....

Thanks (for those so far). I got Duke Nukem Forever on PC which is the first "modern" game I will have got in ages and yes I know it is not going to be great but I wanted it so there.

I've been discussing stuff with Flare and I am undecided whether to get an XBox 360 or not. I could get a cheap used one but I will not pay for access to Live and I don't want to bother modding it or anything, it would be strictly legit so if I wanted to go online for anything I wouldn't have to jump through hoops to do it.

If not having Live is going to seriously hamper the console though, I just won't bother. I also don't want to end up with a used console that somebody has had the RROD on and traded so I am really unsure about whether to spend my hard earned on one at this stage.

What a coincidence. I'm playing it too. Well the PS3 version that is. Seems okay so far.
