Tangled; Disney's 50th Animated Feature

We took the kids to see this one earlier today. Wow! I was blown away by it.

I thought this was one more Disney princess movie which seems perhaps best left to 8-year-old girls...from like 20 years ago.

Not. At. All.

Last year's The Princess and the Frog shirked modern computer animation and brought back the hand-animated methodology which sadly, didn't work. This one's back in CGI and boy, it is an instant Classic.

The animation is top-notch. Simply gorgeous. The look of the human characters evokes the look of Disney's 2D animated universes, they're expressively animated, and the world they inhabit is bright, so crisp, I was in awe.

The musical numbers were kind of flat, they surely won't get any Oscars in that category. Other than that; this movie did every thing right.

In summary. I give this a huge recommendation. If you don't have kids, you'll most probably won't go see it at the theaters. If you miss out, make sure you rent it and watch it on 1080p, you'll be glad you did.

My buddy worked on that movie! :-) I heard its pretty good and its been in production for EVER in various forms. I will definitely take the kids to check it out at some point.
