    Thumbs up Thrift Store Finds

I frequent Thrift stores all over Indiana. Where ever you might be, come here and post pictures or listings you've found that might be of interest to other gamers. Try to include a picture of the item, a price, and an address. If you make a find your not interested in selling, perhaps someone else is.

I think this would be better placed in the weekly finds forum...?

Just a thought since thats where people go with this kind of information.

Default CineMania 1997 - MAC - New in Box!

I found this game for the MAC today for a great price. Selling in an auction as well because well I don't have a MAC. It looks like a nice piece of computer history. It appears to be what Wikipedia is now. Thoughts?

That was it for today I got a few other non-game related finds. I also found this cool Star Trek Manga book in perfect shape also for re-sale.

Ah thrift stores, not something we have in abundance over here. The only thing I have ever been able to find in a thrift store are generic sport titles that you practically couldn't give away.

As a side note, are there any good thrift stores (or other places you might find retro goodness) around London?

I visited London 3 times over the past year and a half and the only place I could find anything is in Goodge street, Goodge tube station is on the corner of Goodge street and Tottenham Court road or you can walk from the Tottenham Court road station.

There's one place there, it's pretty easy to find with stuff going back to the NES/SMS, software and hardware, some japanese imports, console only. Of course these guys know their stuff so nothing is cheap. Across the street there's an OXFAM and 1 or 2 thrift stores that you may or may not find anything.

Please post any other places you might find.

Watch out though, the entire bottom end of Tottenham Court Road is closed down and boarded off now - they are making a huge new inner city rail station so I am told, a pretty massive project (supposedly for the Olympics but running well behind schedule as is always the case)

There used to be a great CEX there with a big retro basement section but I think it closed down long ago. May be worth a quick google tho. Theres always Namco Station too on Embankment, they usually have a few decent games to play.

Sadly I didn’t find anything exciting in CEX or the charity shops while in London, though I did pick up some Atari headphones in duty free so the trip wasn’t an entire retro bust.
