I bet Scott's four picks alone take about two hours... ;-) "Pin X was released with a totally revolutionary solenoid, that used a 16 ohm resistor connected to the coil, whereas previous solenoids could only get away with a 4 ohm resistor. I actually built an airplane that used this type of solenoid when I was eight..."

    Looking forward to it!

LOL, most of the length comes from us filling in bits of background knowledge, mostly Scott telling me things about pinball that I didn't know and where I keep asking dumb questions.

Actually there is a bit you will hear when SoCal answers a call and Scott and I yak for a while. I cut that bit down to a few minutes but it went for over an hour and will be included in an upcoming special.

Just finished listening to the Tim Arnold interview. What an asshole!
Seriously, he says "get your ass off the couch grow up and get laid by playing pinball." This cantankerous old shit head just pissed me off. Why was he talking to you guys like he was constantly proving a point?
You two did a great job with what you had to work with on that interview. Yeeesh.

I agree with Scott that it would be smart to go to SD card based games however the Wii 2 is rumored to be an HD console and may be going for longer more adult style games. Now that could still work as long as the games are short but longer games with current style graphics would need larger SD cards which are more expensive.

The average game these days for the Xbox 360 and PS3 are between 6 and 9gbs. The Ps3 has several games that are between 20- 40GBs. I believe optical media at the size of 6gbs or more would still be much cheaper then solid state chips. In the end it would be a nice thing but optical media is still a much cheaper option for current gen games. I guess it depends on if Nintendo's console will try to compete with current gen style games or will they just produce a console that plays similar games as the original wii but in HD. Not to mention discs scratch which may cause the gamer to buy the game again which is good for the game maker. (sucks for us! LOL)

Hmmm, I guess its down to perception then because he didn't come across that way to me and I wasn't there either.

Count me in the category that was wondering why this guy was being a prick about video games. I couldn't tell if he was being tongue-in-cheek or serious, but I was glad it was a short interview.
