Default Top Card for Sale in Dallas - is it a good deal?

    $800 - Is this a fun one?

I want to buy a pin, but they are soooo expensive. This one looks attainable, but it'll be my only game so if its lame, I don't want to drop $800 on it and just spend all my time fixing it.

I would pay less myself, but that is a good table. Unless you know you want "that" title, whatever it may be, there are many working pins closer to the $500 range. Unless you have something specific in mind, for your first table pretty much any title will do, learn how to maintain and restore then sell it later and get what you really want.

Thanks - I've been thinking that way about it now, just want to get something fun that mostly works and see what I can learn about the hobby . . . $800 is a lot though.

Still haven't bought anything but found this today which was interesting:

Pin bot Pin ball Machine for sale - $900 (Dallas)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pinbot for $900, is that a good deal?

Seems like Dallas CraigsList is waaaay overpriced for classic stuff. I dunno how many $150 2600 offers I've seen 'out there'

Pinbot is a sweet game, if that is clean the price isn't bad.

I've been watching Craigslist for a couple of months and the only pin that I've noticed get sold was the only one I wanted so far - Pin*Bot. Well actually there is a Revenge from Mars on there at the moment that I'd love to buy but it's $2600, and the wife... well you know. I'm tempted to pose as a buyer just so I can go "try it out". It's like 10 minutes away.

You can find them for about a thousand less, I paid 1,600 for mine and it is mint.

Wow, I would have thought that was a decent price (been surfing Craigslist too much - people think these things are made of gold. "doesn't work but it's a collectors item!". Yeah, right) . It's funny he also had P2k Star Wars for $2300, and then a couple of days later he raised the price to $2600 on that one too. The thing is I keep seeing the same machines, they aren't selling but they just won't lower their prices.

    Hmm.... Just saw this ad:

"today only 200.00 tomarrow 400.00 1972 williams superstar pinball machine looks great plays great .i dont have a phone my add 2047 jerome ave gr 49507 reply to add i check my e mail about every 20 min to a half hour"

I'm just not interested in EMs, especially when they look like a giant bubble gum machine like that one. But I guess some deals can be had.
