Default Snagged a Neo Geo Pocket Color

Just picked up a Neo Geo Pocket Color, missing the battery cover but other than that it's in grab shape. Anyone have suggestions for "must have" games? Also if you have a battery cover / know where I can find one (I've checked eBay), let me know.. Thanks!

Another way to possibly get a battery cover (albeit probably a bit more expensive) is to buy a broken system.

That's a really cool system. I snagged one at Gamestop years ago when they had it packaged under a different name with 6 or so games.

Here is what I got for games, any that specifically state they support color I'll mark with *:
    Metal Slug- 1st Mission
    Pac Man*
    King of Fighters R2*
    The Last Blade
    The Match of the Millennium
    Neo Turf Masters*
    Fatal Fury F Contract*
    Puzzle Bobble Mini*
    Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure
    Samurai Showdown! 2*
SNK vs Capcom Cardfighters Clash: Capcom card fighters version*

I haven't really had a chance go play through the games as much as I'd like to, but the Cardfighter game was really cool (the DS got a version of the game a few years ago) and Match of the Millennium is worth trying to track down if you like the Capcom crossover fighting games. I'd say look up some youtube videos of the games and see what catches your eye.

Nice score. I have had some and then get rid of them. I need to def find one to keep! I like Pac Man because it is pretty much the only version of it on a licensed handheld that uses a joystick

Haha, I remember back then thinking "holy crap, a color handheld with better graphics than the Game Gear!" This thing was like $500 originally, wasn't it?

I don't know what you're thinking of with THAT introductory price. :P I think it was more like 70 or 80 bucks.

$500 does sound like a bit much for that time period. I think the most I paid for a handheld was $250.00 for the TurboExpress when it came out. And $250.00 was an insanely high price point for the time, but very nice screen.

Just found a copy of King of Fighters R2 and Metal Slug, still on the hunt for a battery cover, but for now I've stuck a piece of cardboard in there as a temporary solution!

Battery cover obtained for free. Found one this Summer for $0.25 but since I was buying some other items, they spared me the quarter!
