I'm looking to come this year, haven't been to a Magfest yet, looks exciting. I'd love to volunteer but I'm not 100% sure I'd be going until much closer (probably not till December, I'd be driving about 6 hours to attend, so weather could be an issue)

I am headed to the convention center this coming Saturday for the planning meeting, we will walk the floor and get a better sense of the layout. From the work so far, this year should be spectacular. I will post some updates this weekend.

I might be able to help man the booth for part of the event, don't know if I'm going to be there for every day though. I'll have a better idea about my schedule in a week or 2

Scott, I registered and got a room for Friday night. I will be there most of Friday and Saturday. Glad to help out!

We are doing the planning meeting for magfest right now, this thing is going to be insane this year. Were looking at 6,000 attendance!

You will hear more in this month's show, but trust me on this, as epic as MAGFEST was last year it has been turned up to 11. I forget the exact room size and count because frankly I was paying more attention to the arcade since that is my area of concern, but we are talking about roughly six 30,000 sqft rooms. Some are open, and some are divided into panels, rehearsal, tabletop gaming, etc. The scale of this place is difficult to explain, what I can promise you is that if you invest your time and money to come to this show, wherever you come from, my description will not fully explain how great this is.

As part of the staff summit we walked the part of the hotel grounds that will become MAGFEST, and it will be difficult for the attendee to cram everything in. To that end a smartphone app is being planned to display maps and schedule so that you can plan a schedule of events. If you are planning to make it consider working the RGRUP booth, and at least one night I plan to do a room party so be sure to PM me if your coming.
