Default Big Game Hunter Show Thread - Come with me to the So Cal Swapmeets!

Big Game Hunter chronicles my search for Retro Video Gaming goodness as I search the Southern California Swapmeets. Utilizing a pair of surveillance video taping sunglasses you can see what I see and hear what I hear as I negotiate with the venders trying to get the best gaming deals. You never know what we're going to find.

    Episode #20 - Enjoy!

Yet another great episode of the Big Game Hunter. I'm really enjoying your secret spy missions to the swap meets. Nice find on the game n' watch does it work? Please keep up the great videos but I do have a few questions. Yes I'm just being silly but I have to ask. Do you call it Big game hunter because you are looking for big games or is it a double entendre in reference to your stature. Or is it just the run of the mill sexual innuendo? If it is the latter I suggest you say welcome to another episode of the "Big" game hunter. LOL

Oh, I thought he was hunting for big gays, that's why I haven't watched them.
Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

Well he is in Southern California no need to hunt them there. I think you just have to walk out of your house shirtless and a gang of them will appear. So UK you prefer smaller ones? LOL. Did we ever get an answer from Socal Mike about the bear situation. Too bad you don't like the bigger ones UK. The term for a guy that likes bears is a "cub" according to Kevin Smith.

In my head these were gonna be like U.K. Car boot sales (that's boot as in trunk) but that's a veritable goldmine compared to the shite that's wheeled out for car boot sales (why the hell people think i want to buy their old family photos is beyond me)

Yet another strangely captivating episode. I always glance around the screen to see as much as I can on the tables as a sort of vicarious shopping expedition.

I would advise picking up an inexpensive backpack or messenger bag, though. I've found that it's much easier in markets and car boot sales to have one in order to put away whatever I buy on my back and keep my hands free from hauling around plastic carrier bags from one table to another. It takes a bit longer to put things away but I find it to be well worth the trouble.

VCS adapter for Coleco? It'd be interesting to own one of those. Are you putting it up on GG?

It is a vcs adapter for an Atari 5200. And yes, it will be up on GameGavel this weekend for $1 starting bid

Are you still doing Miked up on the podcast? Will the podcasts be covering the same swap meet outings?

Miked up is one of my favorite segments!

I stopped doing Mike'd up after I started filming the BGH episodes. I might try and bring it back.
