Had a great time meeting all of you.. So glad I didn't get sick like some of you. That would have just sucked.. The Hofbrau house was awesome. Had a blast at Margaritaville as well. Went to Pinball Hall of Fame on the way back to the airport, that was very fun.

Trip home was a bitch, they made me wait like 10 minutes at the damn metal detector because of my cast., finally they got someone over to feel up my nuts... Then some bitch in the bar at the gate cards me and my license had expired three days prior.. So they wouldn't give me a bloody mary!!!! WTF!!! Stupid )(&ST)&)!!#!#... Then when we got to Seattle our ride bailed on us, so had to take a Shuttle Express home.. But at least we made it.

Scored tons of cool loot, but haven't been downstairs more than once since I got home to play any of it. Hopefully I get my cast off on Monday and can switch to a boot. This not walking thing is getting old fast..

Hope everyone had a great trip and made it home safe and without any added bullshit..

Speaking of Diane Souer, I was watching Nostagia Critics review of Indiana Jones 2 and he started doing the nononono thing, totally reminded me of the podcast.

So what are you all playing with from CGE? I've spent all weekend messing with my new Supercharger for the 2600. Found a tape player for it at Value Village for 4 bucks. Works great. Spent all day today trying to get software for one of my old Mini Disc players loaded. Had to use an old netbook. But finally got it working after many crashes. Now I have a Mini Disc with all the games as well as prototypes etc.. Works perfectly.. Very glad I got this, lots of fun. I'll post some videos I took of it.

Post some pics of your Supercharger setup, I think allot of listeners would like to see that. That is a great piece of hardware to put back into operation instead of shelving it. Nice find!

It was cool hanging out with you too, Tricky. Your return trip sounds like a real nightmare though, damn!

    Hope the leg heals quickly!

Those airport screeners are a real load aren't they?
I am going to play my loot as soon as I can.

    Hey All,

Since getting back from Vegas I have been buried in work and have only been poking in and out of the forums. So sorry for not being social the past week or so. I wanted to say thanks to all who stopped by our booth and partied with us in Vegas. It is always great meeting more of our listeners and making new friends! That is what is so great about video games and the hobby of collecting them.

I was totally suprised to see UK Mike sitting pantless on the toilet in Scott's hotel room. I had no idea he was flying to Vegas and it was the highlight of CGE finally getting to meet him in person. I think he and Scott will be debuting a video of how it all went down soon enough

Hot off the July show, which thanks to CGE and lots of new listeners, looks like to date is our most downloaded episode we are back at it preparing to wrap up the August podcast, which will feature one or two new interviews from the past week! We will be announcing the August LIVE NEWS real soon so be on the lookout here in the forums for the announcement and hopefully we will see more new faces in chat.

Thanks again to all of you for listening, rambling here in the forums and generally just being a part of our world.
    So Cal Mike, Founder

And along the same lines, talking about my two brothers from other mothers, UK and I concluded if there was no CGE and if we only went to Vegas or any other place just to pull that gag on Socal then it would have been worth it. I am reminded of Al Bean's view of Apollo 12, He said something to the effect of; What I brought back from the Ocean of storms is memories, almost like a trip to the shore. The most precious things I brought back with me were what I left with, my two best friends. When you go through any journey, across town to to the moon and back that you share the experience with people you love.

I thought the 2012 expo itself was better than the 2010 expo, but it was a shame some people, such as Technohead and Duke.Togo, weren't able to make it this time round.

Well, one did, actually. I came in as a large Pac-Man. The only problem with that was everyone wanted to take a picture with me, so I couldn't make my way to any booths! Even as Pac-Man, I was eventually asked to leave because too many people were complaining about the smell (I'm not a fan of deodorant, nor do I practice any sort of personal hygiene).

All in all, it was a very disappointing weekend, since I came home empty handed.

And to the CGE guys... all the keynote speeches sucked! I couldn't hear a damn thing!
I enjoyed "hearing" the keynotes. Especially the ones who described the technological challenges of creating the sounds we "heard" in the games they created.
