Hey everyone,

Let me tell you a bit about myself.

My name is Samantha, I'm 26 years old (soon to be 27 eek) and live in Melbourne Australia.

I guess my love for 'old' video games started the day my brother and I got a Sega Master System II (would have been around 1992 i think). My family weren't super rich and so naturally the day my parents gave my brother and I a Sega, has stayed fresh in my mind.

Each month my brother and i would save our pocket money and buy a new game for our console, and if we were lucky maybe get a few extras on birthdays and Christmas'.

We ended up with a 50+ game collection & gamegears, when the Sony PlayStation was released....my brother decided at this point to trade the whole lot in... I think we got about $60 for the entire lot (I don’t want to think about how much it would have been worth now).

This day has haunted me since, and so when i was 19, when regaling this tale to a friend it began..... I started the collection from scratch.

I've been collecting games and consoles for the past 7/8 years now. At first it was a pretty casual thing, now i find myself trawling ebay almost hourly looking for more, and every weekend in pawn stores and second hand markets.

Which brings me here/now to gamegavel, another resource to fuel my habit...
