    Default Show us your Pongs

This is the Pong clone that we had, although in all honesty it was actually UK Neil's rather than mine.

I seem to remember him always having the controller with the reset button rather than the one with the pause button, so if you were beating him he would reset the game.

    Tosser!

Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

I had Grandstand Match of the Day 2000 in 1977... played it to death until it was retired in favor of the Odyssey 2 and a bunch of tabletop/handheld LCD games.

But what did you have as a kid, Scott? Clearly you weren't purchasing original PONG arcade machines at age 8!

The Coleco Telstar Colortron was mine. I still have it too, with the box and everything else that came with it.

I played an earlier pong unit in the late '70s with my then best friend, but I don't remember which one it was... maybe a Radio Shack model?

I wouldn't be surprised to find the on the box somewhere the words

Screenshot may vary from actual gameplay.

Possibly. I'll have to dig it out and check (I can't find any pictures online that are high resolution enough to read the box fine print).

But it was in color, and did look pretty much like the box displays.
