It was my birthday last Saturday the 19th. One of my friends and me drove to a local Comic Book convention, ShowCon in Murfresburo, TN. It was pretty crappy. Dirks Benedict (Battlestar, ATeam) was suppose to be there but he was never at his table and I would not have paid his prices anyway. I did buy a stack of Young Justice comics. They were suppose to have a retro gaming room, but it was just six arcades pushed to the side (gyrus, Phoenix, karate champ, play choice, after burner, and a sega racing game that was not Out Run) My friend paid admission so I was not that bummed.

Later some friends and family came over and we grilled some stuff and had cake. I received Super Mario 3d Land, Kingdom Hearts: recoded, Game of Throne BD, and an Akuma action figure. Pretty cool day as a whole.

After finishing work late, getting an e3 demo ready, getting home at 1am on what was then Saturday am, I slept till 6am, fed the dogs, showered, did the weekly food shopping and then was on a train to day one of a high score arcade in Manchester.
I'm gonna blame being tired and headachy from working late for my poor scores on the tournament arcade games (I'm actually just rubbish) but I've done RGR proud by making sure I was at the top of one of the daily competitions, which was favourite of SoCal, Kaboom. I left a few hours early though to have dinner with the misses, so I'll have to wait to see if anyone beat it later.
Heading back down there in a few hours, I've still not logged any score on Klax, and then I need to plan what to focus on to bring my overall average score up to something respectable

Went to a party last night and went to watch Prometheus today.

    S'alright.

It fills some gaps but those going expecting anything on the level of Alien / s will be disappointed.

I worked 12 hours a day on saturday and sunday, thank you very much. So go fuck yourselves, all of you.

Thanks to the RGR podcasts, though, I kept my sanity through most of it.

Received my copy of Infinite Space for the DS from Amazon on Friday, so spend most of the weekend playing that. Saturday night after a good meal at a restaurant went home and watched "All that Jazz", hadn't seen it in over 20 years.

I went to check out a Time Pilot dedicated cab I was gonna but but when I got there not only wasn't it working ("it was just working last weekend!!!"... whatever!) but it was also a complete wreck in every way. Restorable, but a major major rebuild. It had been kept outside in a covered patio in the Florida humidity all its life. Very very sad.

Agreed. OK, but nowt spesh. Wish I hadn't paid extra for the 3D though. It just didn't need it.

It's good, but it's no Inner Space ;-)

Yeah, I could have saved on the 3D part as well.
