Gamers Unite! Unite to run a NESathon of classic video games for the original Nintendo Entertainment System. The goal is raise money to fight multiple sclerosis while attempting to play NES games non-stop for 100 hours, from Friday, June 1st to Tuesday, June 5th at 3pm. Can it happen? You can find out by watching the entire event as it’s broadcast live at nesathon.blogspot.ca.

Participants will be playing some games they’re good at, some games they’re bad at, and some undeniable classics. Highlights will include the Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda and Mega Man series. Kirby's Adventure, Duck Tales, Power Blade, Kid Icarus, Bubble Bobble, Little Samson, Battle Kid, Ninja Gaiden, Punch Out and many more! Requests will also be taken from the live chat room.

100% of donations received will go to the MS Society. Funds raised from the event will help enable continued funding of support services for people touched by MS. This includes support groups as well as equipment and funding programs which help improve the quality of life for those living with MS.

Canadians have one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis in the world, with an estimated 55,000 – 75,000 currently living with the disease and 1,000 new cases every year. And while there has been great progress in research and treatments in recent months, there is presently no cure.
