The Sega Saturn is a 32-Bit gaming console. In an attempt to beat Sony out of the gates with its Playstation, Sega staged a surprise North American launch on "Saturnday" September 2nd, 1995. This proved costly for Sega as the Saturn's launch price was revealed to be $399 which gave Sony time to introduce their lower price of $299. Ultimately, Sega's Saturn became the "other" gaming console sitting in third place behind Nintendo's N64 and the Sony Playstation. The Saturn does have a nice catalog of games, some of which are becoming quite pricey and collectible. Visit http://www.Sega-16.com, the best Classic SEGA resource and community on the net!
